Biographical Information

From Arizona House of Representatives, 22nd Legislature, 1st Regular Session (1955), H.R. 9:

Whereas, death has summoned the Honorable Louise A. Moore, a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives, on September 28, 1954, in the City of Los Angeles, California, at the age of seventy-one years.

A native of Rockland in the State of Texas, Mrs. Moore attended El Paso High School in El Paso, Texas.  Later, she was enrolled at Texas State Normal in Huntsville, Texas, and there received her teacher's certificate.  Thereafter, she moved to the State of Arizona, where she has lived since 1915.

In 1940, the people of her legislative district in Maricopa County, gave recognition to her judgment and public spirit by electing her to serve in the House of Representatives of the Fifteenth Legislature. She served on the Banking and Insurance, Child Welfare, Education, and Public Institutions Committees.  In her legislative work, she was conscientious and displayed a sense of duty that distinguished her every activity....
