Rep. Jane Dee Hull resigned October 4, 1993 to prepare to run for Arizona Secretary of State. She was replaced by Barry Wong who was appointed October 8, 1993 as Representative for District 18 and was sworn in October 14, 1993 (Journal of the House of Representatives, 41st Legislature, 1993, pp. iv, 478). Work experiences include: manager, family small business; tax accountant, Ernst & Young, LLP; lawyer, Ridge & Isaacson, PC; Regional Vice President, CIGNA; and staff analyst, AZ Senate Commerce Committee. Community service includes; Fiesta Bowl; Phoenix Art Museum; and Republican Party Precinct Committeeman.

General Policy View:
Control the size and growth of government; restrict tax increases and reduce taxes; establish and maintain policies which encourage economic expansion, i.e., for businesses large and small, to grow, and to attract companies to locate in AZ; assist small business; expand opportunities for AZ businesses to engage in international trade; crime control and punishment; education system improvement and reform; welfare reform.
