State Senator Edward J. (Ed) Cirillo was born in Troy, New York. He graduated from Siena College with a BBA in Accounting. He also has an MA in Business Enterprise from the State University of New York in Binghamton. He served two years in the U. S. Army in West Germany.
Senator Cirillo is married to Regina and they have three children and two grandchildren. He retired after 31 years with the IBM Corporation where he served in various financial management positions. He has always been active in his community, both in his home state of New York and in Sun City West since locating there in 1991.
He was first elected to the Arizona State Senate in November 1996.
Senator Cirillo now serves as Chairman of the Banking and Insurance Committee. The other standing committees he serves on are Appropriations, Finance and Health. He is currently the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
His various activities have included: Village Trustee, Tarrytown (NY); Chair, Tarrytown GOP (NY); President of the Property Owners and Residents Association; President of the Rotary Club; Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge; Trustee of the Sun City Museum of Art; and, Vice President of the Republican Club. He is a board member of the Arizonians for Cultural Development and of the West Valley Fine Arts Council.
