Gail Griffin represents District 8 in the Arizona House of Representatives. District 8 includes portions of four counties: Cochise, Santa Cruz, Graham and Greenlee.
Gail serves as chairman of the State Natural Resources Committee and as vice chairman of the Federal Mandates and States Rights committee and is a member of Appropriations committee and Appropriations Subcommittee on Criminal Justice/Transportation.
Gail also serves on four national committees: A member of "The Environment Committee," "The Fiscal, Oversight and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee," "The Energy and Environmental Resources Committee" of the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL), and "The Environment Committee" of the "American Legislative Exchange Council" (ALEC).
Gail also serves on the "Arizona's Housing Commission," "Arizona Water Protection Fund," "Arizona Water Banking Authority," "Rural Business Incubator Commission," and the "Growing Smarter Commission."
Gail is a member of the Western States Coalition, Arizona/New Mexico coalition of Counties, Society for Environmental Truth, People for the USA, The Arizona Town Hall, The Sierra Vista Sunrise Rotary Club and a graduate of Project Cntrl (Rural Leadership Program, U. Of A.).
Gail has lived in Arizona for 30 years and has been active in community, state and federal issues for many years. Gail is a licensed real estate broker at Sierra Vista Realty and has been in the real estate profession for 24 years.
